We like full increase in rates

We like the banks and building societies which have raised interest rates on their savings accounts by 0.25% following last week's rate hike by the Bank of England.

ING Direct has lifted its rate back to its original launch position, offering savers 4.22%. Some have increased rates by more than 0.25%. Customers with the tiny Holmesdale building society (based in Reigate, Surrey) will be pleased with a 0.35% increase.

Likewise, savers with Leopold Joseph should welcome a 0.26% rise. Natwest shone by raising rates earlier on its savings products than any of its main rivals on the high street.

Most rates are up 0.25% but high net-worth savers with the bank will benefit by a 0.45% rise on two accounts.
