Analyst Customer Collaboration

Location: Houston, Texas, United States Shell's lubricants business, SOPUS Products, in the United States represents a significant portion of the Shell Group global lubricants business and ranks as a leader in the U.S. lubricants industry, which includes fast lubes, automotive/consumer products, and transport and industrial offerings to consumer and business customers. In addition to owning and operating ten blending and packaging facilities across the U.S., the Shell lubricants portfolio of well-known brands includes Pennzoil, Quaker State, Rotella T, Black Magic, Slick 50, Rain-X and Fix-A-Flat.
 
Shell subsidiary Jiffy Lube International began in 1979 as an association of seven service centers. It was the first drive-through quick oil-change outlet. Today, there are more than 2,100 service centers in the United States and Canada servicing more than 29 million cars a year.
 
SOPUS Products is currently seeking a Analyst Customer Collaboration for its Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for serving as the internal ?voice of the customer? by representing the customer?s (key mass retail and auto channel) interests while serving as a liaison between the customer, supply chain, customer service, sales and field locations. By collaborating closely with the customer and sharing data, you will aim to increase customer satisfaction, reduce inventory levels, minimize stock-outs and lost sales and improve forecast accuracy. You will work closely with Shell Lubricants National Accounts Sales/Marketing staff to ensure alignment and to act as one team of cross-functional resources dedicated to the customer, encompassing support in Merchandising, Category Development, and Supply Chain. This position will primarily be focused on the North American zone.
 
Key Accountabilities Include:
- Participating or accountable for inventory management through Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), Point of Sale (POS) analysis, warehouse and store replenishment working with the retail partners
- Utilizing customer?s replenishment system to analyze and submit daily orders through Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) with accountability to $50M+ in annual revenue to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained in their distribution centers
- Monitoring customer scorecard and conducting research to determine root causeimprovement opportunities and then make recommendations to internally resolve issues as appropriate
- Managing product logistics operations between the customer and our supply chain to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of products and to build a long-term logistics relationship with customers
- Analyzing product supply issues such as out-of-stocks, production, incoming oversea arrivals, quality, forecasts and vendor compliance
- Representing Shell Car Care and Lubricants Supply Chain in meetings with customers and the sales team
- Participating in driving customer requirements/initiatives/improvements with key roles in supply chain such as Customer Service, Master Data, the EDI team and the sales team
- Acting as an active member in cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Sales/Marketing to solidify team approach in relationship with customers in the areas of Merchandising, Category Development and Supply Chain
- Utilizing internal and customer information systems to identify potential and actual compliance violations to prevent impact on margin as well as initiate root cause analysis to make supply chain improvements
- Optimizing Shell Lubricant?s bottom line via improvements on vendor metrics through working towards orders being delivered 100% on time and in full, thus increasing our products? in stock levels and optimizing sales for both parties
- Supporting fast and effective communication links between Supply Chain Buyer/Planners, Contracting & Procurement, suppliers and the Car Care Supply Chain team members
- Managing the implementation of Car Care initiatives and develop strategies/execute plans to support revenue growth, innovation, and cost reduction
- Making order recommendations, suggesting replenishment strategies, and advising customer on inventory position, but ultimate replenishment decisions are made by the customer, thus limiting overall results
- Acting as Customer receptivity to collaboration with non-sales/marketing staff member
- Ensuring internal alignment and common goals/objectives to support the customer in a way that meets Shell Lubricants? business objectives
- Managing and representing both Car Care and Lubricants products to the customer

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor?s Degree - business with preference for transportation/logistics and have approximately 2-4 years experience relating to logistics or supply chain environment with specific understanding of supply chain, planning, scheduling, and logistics concepts.
 
Additional Requirements:
- Prior experience with retail replenishment or inventory management
- Prior experience interfacing with customer decision-makers
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to develop leadership, solves problems, analytical and fact based decision-making skills
- Demonstrated accountability and commitment to work agenda
- Ability to prioritize and reprioritize as new activities appear
