The primary function of the product manager is the development and coordination of the key marketing activities for Lupron Gynecology through the development and execution of the overall brand promotional strategy and the tactics associated with them. The product manager also directs the efforts of other functional areas (such as Marketing Services and Business Insights) when applicable. Specifically the product manager will:

Develop and execute major programs to meet sales and market share objectives
Manage to the approved promotional budget for the product line
Assist in the preparation of updating sales forecasts
Manage suppliers and vendors relative to tactical development and execution
Understand and comply with medical and regulatory guidelines for promotional practices
Collaborate with R&D to enhance product offerings or pipeline
Develop and maintain relationships with key thought leaders from both a strategic and medical educational standpoint
Monitor competitive activity and develop the appropriate tactics to respond to varied threats or opportunities
Use and understand business analytics to identify market opportunities
Demonstrate an ROI focused mentality when measuring marketing programs for effectiveness
Act as an advocate for field sales force in the development and implementation of the brand strategy through communication and feedback
Fully integrate all efforts with Managed Markets sales and marketing

The product manager will regularly interact and collaborate with sales management, sales representatives, sales analysis, sales training, R&D medical and regulatory personnel, Business Insights and Managed Markets. The ability to identify and implement solutions for conflict resolution with minimal direction is a crucial skill. A thorough understanding of how budgetary decisions affect the bottom line and purchasing guidelines is necessary. Product management entails significant project management: coordinating development timelines, overseeing medical and regulatory processes and managing vendors to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required
MBA Preferred

Candidates for the Associate Product Manager position: One to three years of pharmaceutical selling required OR one or more years of previous consumer or healthcare marketing and/or market research experience.

Candidates for the Product Manager position: One to three years of pharmaceutical selling experience and at least one year of pharmaceutical marketing experience OR equivalent experience in consumer brand management or market research.

Candidates for the Sr. Product Manager position will have:
One to three years of pharmaceutical selling experience and at least two years of pharmaceutical marketing experience OR Equivalent experience in consumer brand management or market research OR
at least one year of district sales management experience.
