Director Market Analytics

Simmons Bedding Company, maker of the world famous Beautyrest mattress, is actively recruiting for a Director Market Analytics for their corporate office located in the Concourse office complex in North Atlanta.

 

DUTIES:

Evaluates and monitors economic and industry trends and activities that drive/impact demand in the marketplace.  Key responsibility is to identify demand for new and existing products and services through the use of statistical procedures and data analysis.  Gathers and analyses data on competitor activity; and on customer demographics, buying habits, and preferences.  Forecasts consumer and industry trends.  Responsible for ad hoc and ongoing marketing research efforts.

 Design new reports and programs based on business and economic conditions.  Drive the consistency of data throughout the organizations and ensure all Key Performance Indicators are aligned with the business strategy and economics.Direct the development and maintenance of the customer analytics programs. Review analysis results to advance existing marketing efforts and/or develop new initiatives.Direct the development and maintenance of customer information repositories and models used in the analysis and measurement process. Develop and implement targeted marketing methodologies and campaigns based on marketing analytics. Report to executive management on the results of current marketing programs and make recommendations to improve their effectiveness. Develop and maintain competitor analysis models with regards to product and price and develop presentations and recommendations to executives summarizing competitor market conditions. Provide support to other marketing groups in the development and deployment of key marketing initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned or required .

 

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:Strategic thinker.Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills.Highly developed computer skills with very strong proficiency in Excel.Proven experience in successfully managing or supervising others in applied research.Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Strong written and interpersonal communication skills including presentation experience.Working knowledge of industry conventions in data collection and tabulation for survey research including sampling, analysis, and multivariate weighting.In-depth understanding of all aspects of sales and marketing price analyses and their application to business issues.Project and people management skills.Well versed in the analysis and interpretation of data analytics.Demonstrated knowledge of research techniques.Possess creativity, enthusiasm, ambition, and sound business judgment.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 8 years marketing analysis experience in the consumer products, service related or a comparable business-to-business industry and at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor?s degree in marketing, business finance, or statistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
