Director, Marketing Strategy, Governance, Risk, and Compliance

Objective: SAP has formed a new business unit to help customers overcome the challenges of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management. SAP seeks motivated marketing professionals to strategy and execute on the GRC vision to provide customers with integrated GRC solutions that reduce costs, balance risks and manage with confidence -- ultimately, helping businesses protect their brand and reputation while driving growth and stakeholder trust.


Position Responsibilities: The Director of Marketing Strategy explores opportunities and provides recommendations to the management team to promote revenues and expand usage of the SAP Solutions for GRC portfolio. Primary responsibilities include:

- Strong strategy and analytical skills, including an ability to articulate solutions to complex business challenges.
- Experience with and/or understanding of enterprise software business models and operational structures, particularly customer- and market-facing functions.
- Experience with setting corporate and/or organization business planning, with a particular emphasis on seeing strategy through to execution.
- Demonstrated ability and presence to work with all levels in an organization and, particularly, directly with the senior executives. Diplomacy and communication, especially listening, are critical success factors.
- Comfort with navigating and working within a complex and geographically dispersed matrix organization.
- Ideal candidates would have a functional background of marketing, product marketing, or sales support/operations coupled with an ability to "see across" functions to analyze and recommend solutions. Backgrounds in management consulting would focus on flexible, strategic thinking, structured project management skills, and demonstrated ability to tackle challenging senior-level management initiatives. Successful candidates will couple high intellectual ability with strong "people skills" in helping set the direction for this exciting new opportunity within SAP.


Basic Qualifications: - Requires 7+ years experience of professional experience, preferably in the enterprise software industry and/or a top-tier management consulting firm. - Bachelor's degree required.
