The Product Launch Manager is a new role within our developing Product team.  While currently an individual contributor role, the function will continue to develop and expand over the next year.  This is a tremendous opportunity to bring your expertise to our Product group and assist in building on past success while paving the way for high growth in the future.

 

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

 

Manages and drives a market-driven product group by ensuring the timely and successful launch of new products into the market place in support of the Company's strategic plan.  Develops, administers and oversees all aspects of the cross-functional process required to coordinate all the required components of a successful, leveraged product launch. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

 

Business Planning and Management:
Develops project plans taking into account all aspects of product launch including but not limited to marketing programs, software readiness, sales preparation and training, customer support readiness
Manages and resolves issues across multiple teams and organizations as well as partner companies to ensure timeliness and success of product launches
Prepares status and resolves issues to promote on-time delivery of solutions
Works with Product Managers to determine success criteria for product launches and tracks critical metrics
Develops and improve process for metric reporting; analyzes data and reports on results
Recommends process improvements to ensure successful product launches
Assists management planning by contributing a marketing perspective through written reports and presentations
Coordinates all aspects of the business relating to the product line by acting as a liaison to Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales

 

 

Product Control:

1.  Assures timely and effective product delivery by proposing and monitoring product GTM (Go To Market) progress through contributing organizations and functions in order to monitor costs, curtail delay and correct any in- process snafus

2.  Evaluates and organizes product acceptance by interviewing customers to determine satisfaction, and readiness

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor?s degree plus:

? 3 to 5 years successful project and program management

? Demonstrated ability to work across multiple job levels and organizational boundaries to generate results and progress

? Demonstrated ability to build relationships and accomplish goals across a highly matrixed organization

? Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

? Ability to interpret and analyze data and provide clear recommendations based on results

? Ability to drive results through other people

? Excellent MS Office skills and project software

? Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and interpret data
