Director of Product Manager w/ Mobile eCommerce Experience

Our client, a leader in Mobile Solutions, is looking for a Product Manager to join their award winning team. The selected candidate will be responsible for owning overall product strategy and roadmap for the eCommerce solutions.

 

The ideal candidate will have deep mobile work experience and expertise in new product development and delivery, especially of web-based consumer-facing applications. This individual will own the overall product strategy and roadmap for the eCommerce product line and will champion its development and launch with internal and external stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

?  Be the internal market and product expert on products, market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.

?  Define product strategy through setting product vision, priorities for new technology development, ongoing feature evolution and selection of complementary technologies from partners

?  Analyze market, understand business objectives and develop business case to champion initiatives and product requirement documents to facilitate implementation

?  Own the product roadmap for delivery of features that meet and anticipate the needs of the market

?  Maintains a strong understanding of the wireless marketplace including the mobile operator, mobile data services and other industry verticals.

?  Enable the field with in-depth understanding of the market, our products, positioning and supporting content/collateral

 

 

Required Qualifications:

?  5+ years in product management or equivalent experience

?  Bachelors Degree in business, marketing, computer science or similar

?  MBA highly desired

?  Experienced requirements and specification writer. Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

?  Demonstrated experience developing & managing product plans across the entire product lifecycle from initial requirements, during development, through product launch to end of life

?  Ability to effectively utilize influential power to drive internal consensus and common goals

?  Ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas and global locations

?  Demonstrated capabilities in communicating and presenting at all levels of the organization

?  Self-motivated, independent worker with entrepreneurial passion

?  High-energy, positive attitude

?  Outstanding team player

?  Direct experience with portals, media, search, community, or personalization products preferable

?  Experience with and understanding of the wireless industry, as well as mobile content and eCommerce is highly desirable

?  Ability to travel domestically and internationally
