General Manager - Bottled Water Programs

We are seeking a general manager for our bottled water certification services program to manage and expand the business for compliance with voluntary, consensus NSF or non-NSF standards, or government regulations nationaly and internationally.
 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Select, train, develop, motivate, and evaluate a competent work force.
Coordinate all NSF services to certification customers by managing the program(s) consistent with services and cost control goals and objectives.
Prepare annual operating plans and budgets for international and domestic program(s); develop and submit periodic reports consistent with plan and budget.
Assure that program operations meet all corporate and program requirements for quality assurance and control.
Review records, reports, and other documentation to substantiate and authorize certification.
Provide liaison with program participants, regulatory agencies, code officials, other organizations, and staff relative to program requirements, policies, and procedures.
Participate in marketing activities and publication goals as developed in the business plan or as necessary.
Be responsible for international growth of bottled water program.
Identify and track market competitors and develop strategy to combat market penetration.
Act as NSF?s spokesperson for area of expertise.
Perform other duties as requested.




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree in business, environmental health, or related science or related engineering discipline.
A minimum of five (5) years experience managing and/or developing a related area of business (bottled water, beverages industry experience required).
A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/leadership experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally and work independently.
Prior experience with managing a growth orientated business unit.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree, e.g., Masters.
Professional registration, e.g., PE, RS.
Experience in developing and monitoring business plans.
Knowledge of NSF policies and procedures.
Experience with public speaking.
Prior experience as a program manager.
