Global Product Manager - Oxygen
Responsibilities:
Incumbent in this role serves as a Global Product Manager for Home Respiratory products, focused but not limited to Oxygen. This position has the flexibility to be located in Murrysville, Pennsylvania or Atlanta, Georgia.
Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the global marketplace and maintain an intimate knowledge of the global business models. The candidate will identify the market opportunities, the business problems, and value creators for our target audiences To be successful; he/she will develop an intimate knowledge of our global customer needs and competitors, the global market trends and drivers, and formulate a cross-functional strategic plan.
Perform the upstream marketing duties in support of the development and release of new products/solutions:
Provide overall leadership for the New Product Development Process.
Conduct market research to identify current and future trends in the market place.
Develop and maintain a product portfolio and branding strategy for new business solutions.
Obtain global customer requirements and product specifications (via market research activities, analysis, and on-going communication with global marketing and key investigators).
Develop key documents to enable successful development (Idea Brief, Product Strategy Brief, MRD, Market Validation Plan, Product Launch Package).
Work with industrial design, engineering and project teams to develop a new product and ensure that key milestones or ?gates? are achieved.
Serve as the key marketing Interface with R&D/engineering to communicate product specifications, provide direction with design trade-off decisions, and serve as liaison for downstream marketing interface to engineering (e.g., providing proof statements; data analysis; research integration summaries, etc.).
Interface with clinicians, researchers and patients in support of marketing activities especially as they pertain to product development (e.g., clinical studies, preference testing, etc.) and new market identification.
Investigate and expand market applications and benefits of new market ideas.
Serve as the Marketing lead in Quality-related activities (Quality monthly segment review meetings, CAPA, tiger teams, complaint meetings, etc.) as they pertain to the assigned product line/s Ensure, along with engineering resources, the protection of intellectual property (e.g., IP identification; patient support, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Life Sciences or Engineering, or related discipline, required. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of product management experience, required. Medical Device experience, preferred.
Demonstrated leadership in product development (taking products from conception to release), product management, and project management, required.
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing processes, strategic planning and budgeting.
Clinical and/or Engineering experience, preferred.
Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
Knowledge related to the ventilation or oxygen market and FDA-regulated environment, preferred.
Approximately 30-40% travel (including international travel) required.
