As the Direct Market Development Manager for Sony working within the Personal Digital Imaging Product Division, the selected individual will be responsible for growing Digital Imaging product sales including Digital Still Cameras, Camcorders, Accessories and Photo Printers through direct sales channels, including SonyStyle.com and Sony Style retail stores, by creating customer value and incentives to buy direct while maintaining price premium.  Works with Product teams to develop merchandising and cross category solutions.  Individual will work closely with Corporate Marketing to ensure consistent messaging throughout the purchase funnel.Individual will work with Sony Style team to implement marketing and sales efforts online and in stores.


 


The Direct Market Development Manager will also be responsible for growing Digital Imaging product sales through B2B channels, by identifying and developing 2-3 key vertical markets.Will also work closely with B2B sales team to create marketing communication messages and sales tools.


 


Successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in related fields or 3-5 years experience plus MBA. 
Must have background that includes online advertising and merchandising experience, as well as strong retail sales background. 
Knowledge of product categories and/or consumer electronics field and/or B2B preferred. 
Candidate should demonstrate ability to work independently, take initiative, and persuade/move others in organization toward goals. 
The position will report to the Product VP while closely working with Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Sales and Sony Style direct sales teams. 
Must be willing to travel approximately 40% of the time.
