Job Summary:Business Development Manager for BEA diversification activities:

?  Identify BEA technologies that could the applied to new and unique markets

?  Research and identify potential markets

?  Meet with ?new market? customers and gather direct market data

?  Develop product modification or new product plans to support ?new market? customers

?  Utilize BEA Marketing Department to prepare customer materials and market studies

?  Manage transition from research -to- sales, including initial direct sales role until account is transitioned to field sales team

?  Manage Business Development team, which may include research analyst and technical support

 Short to mid-term diversification projects:

Existing products/technologies or easily modifiable solutions in order to immediately meet clearly identified market needs. The immediate objective is to generate fast revenue without heavy engineering investment. Potential diversification markets are:

?  Mass transit and general transportation

?  Military perimeter radar and security

?  Security access control (non-military)

?  RFID activation

?  Machine equipment safety

?  Parking barriers, gates and vehicle counting

?  Fire doors / Folding panels

?  Accessibility design application (ADA and residential)

 Long-term diversification projects:

Research long-term solutions adapted to diversified market applications. These solutions may require a long-term research and development effort to meet the market specific requirements.

 Existing industrial partner management:

Identify and manage relationships with industrial partners in complimentary segments that enhance the new business development process.

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

?  Customer meetings and presentations

?  Interface with engineering and marketing to define new products and modifications to current products

?  Weekly status updates to company President, Executive Team and Engineering.

?  Market research in support of new product proposals, diversification and ROI calculations.

?  National / International travel

?  Sales to diversification customer base during initial sales phase

?  Transition on-going customers to sales team

?  Represent BEA at trade shows, industry meetings and standards groups

?  Training of BEA sales team to facilitate on-going customer transfer, including technical specifications, market dynamics, customers, competitors, pricing models, forecasting techniques and tracking.

?  Assist in preparing diversified project reports for global review.

 

Job Qualifications:

?  Previous experience in Product Management, Business Development or Strategic Sales

?  Technical background and job related experience

?  Advanced presentation skills



?  Advanced skills with architectural product specifications

?  Advanced phone communication skills

?  Creative thinker and proactive approach

?  Strong skills in Windows environment and MS Office applications.

?  Strong skills with internet research tools
