SUMMARY of ROLE ? PRODUCT MANAGER, ENDODONTICS

 

Responsible for target setting as the owner of a product line including, brand strategies and overall product marketing, new products launches and overall product line profitability.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

 Help determine product line strategies and positioning including new products and promotional campaigns.Work with Director of Marketing, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Purchasing, Legal, and Graphics on new products as well as revisions to existing products.Help determine yearly forecasts and budgets.  Make adjustments as directed and manage the profitablility of the product line.Maintain appropriate inventory levels to maximize ongoing profitability.Manage and report product launch timelines to ensure timely introductions.Assist in creation of concepts and execute plans for brand  advertising, direct mail campaigns and patient literature.  Write advertising and marketing collateral copy. Collect and analyze response rates.Work with Sales Management to develop effective sales promotions and closing tools to increase revenues.Help source components for new and existing brand products and coordinate first buys with Purchasing.Create and revise Bills of Materials as necessary.Provide Packaging Masters and help set quality standards for all product line finished goods and associated components.Work with Westside Packaging to lower overall cost of goods for product line. Coordinate any market studies, focus groups, competitive price and cost analyses.Work with Market Intelligence to gain incisive market trend data and monitor competitive activity.Work with Public Relations Manager to develop content for press releases, thought leader communication, etc.Work with relevant thought leaders to enhance brand/SBU credibility and reputation in the industry.

 

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

 

Fifth year college or university program certificate; and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Marketing degree or comparable experience.  Dental experience a plus.
