Principal Engineer-Electrical & Design

World class medical device manufacturer is seeking a Principal Engineer who will lead new product development projects and provide technical leadership on innovative electrical-based concepts. The position will provide electrical and electro-mechanical technical leadership on electrical-based technology projects and lead cross-functional NPD teams in the design, develop and commercialization activities that bring innovative procedural solutions to the customers. 

 

The Principal Engineer with assist with new product designs requiring an ability to overcome electrical and electro-mechanical design challenges and interface with OEM factories, vendors or design contractors involved in development and manufacturing of products. The position will lead cross-functional teams on specific product development projects through commercialization, develop achievable work plans and contracts to execute product development projects and execute projects to budget and work plan. Strong communication skills to ensure resolution of  project issues.

 

To be considered candidates must possess a MS or PhD electrical engineering degree or biomedical engineering degree, 7+ years of design experience in medical based electrical products and RF( electrosurgical devices a plus).

Prior experience in project management experience with ICB logic and component design experience a plus. Publication in a peer reviewed journal is highly desirable.
