Product Control Accountant

One of NYC's top Commodities firms is seeking a very experienced product control accountant w/financial services background for a project/project to hire position. Four plus years of financial accounting experience, along with a solid accounting and finance track record are needed. Experience with Equities/commodities is preferred as well as knowledge in futures/options and OTC accounting. Knowledge of the following systems are a plus, but not required, GMI (for futures/option), 4X Manager (for foreign exchange), Kyadex, Coda (G/L system). Qualifications :
Qualifications: Must… Bachelors Degree: Candidates should posses a college degree in accounting or finance. Experience: Candidates should posses a minimum of 4 plus years of professional accounting experience in the financial services industry. Plus… Certification: CPA/MBA a plus Experience: Public Accounting and/or consulting experience highly desired Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Proven accounting abilities to perform payout reconciliations, OTC accounting, back-office reconciliations, analyze financial data and ensure accuracy and consistency of data across multiple departments. Structure & provide analytical support for investment transactions, extremely hands-on individual to assist company in automating their manual system, to take to next level. Good written and verbal communication skills. Consultants will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from accounting, reconciliations, analyzing and processing payouts and variance analysis projects as well as documentation of various processes and assisting with internal controls.
