Product Development

Job Purpose:

 

To be able to take new products identified by management and bring them through prototyping and ready for production.

 

Duties:

* Identifies viable new products by working with sales and marketing.

 

* Justifies new product development by completing return-on-investment analysis; developing pricing strategies.

 

*Ability to keep projects on time and on budget.



 

* Produces new products by coordinating engineering, manufacturing, and distribution


* Protects organization's value by keeping new product information confidential.


* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.



* Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

 

*A mechanical engineer with experience in metal and plastics.
