Product Line Manager - Lifestyle Footwear

FUNDAMENTAL DESCRITPION:   o The primary focus is on leading the formal product process from brief to launch. A mix of creative thinking, new idea generation, and results orientation are a must for success in this role and will be applied to consumer research, market research, product strategy conception, range planning and merchandising, conceptual product briefing, formal presentation and influence as well as sophisticated analysis of product and category performance. The demand for both consumer and customer understanding will put you in the global marketplace often for real experience and perspective. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

o  Product Creation:  Lead the product creation process; comprehensively approach the process by understanding the scope of pre-briefing, consumer / customer targeting, business forecasting, formal briefing, design team inspiration, prototype management, manufacturing, and product delivery. 

o  Product Merchandising:  Merchandising expert; able to confidently construct range architecture through dimensions of product type, product segment, price point, gender, customer targets, geographic targets, and distribution.

o  Sales Team Interface; works in conjunction with country product managers and sales team to fulfill strategic / external product needs, identify gaps and opportunities.

o  Team Leadership:  Leads the product team; actively and confidently communicates with the team to ensure product development alignment with project briefs & concepts. Directs the full product creation process through collaborative efforts with design, development, and manufacturing.

o  Business Analysis:  highly involved with internal category business metrics and product / category growth trends; understands and communicates both quantitative and qualitative reasoning throughout the product creation process for solid decision-making.

 

 

CORE COMPENTENCIES:

o Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing or related field.

o The candidate should possess 3-5 years of relative experience.

o Creative thinking:  Ability to think out the box and find innovative solutions for business growth and product generation.

o Sophisticated Analytical abilities:  Excel, operational files; understands key business drivers (styles, segments, channels, customers, etc.).

o  Customer Knowledge:  Broad knowledge of global customer base and channel dynamics.
