Product Manager, Benefits Manager
The product manager is responsible for collaborating w/ the existing team to perform ?traditional? Product Management and Product Marketing activities specific to the HSG Benefits Manager. The Benefits Manager Product Manager will bear the following responsibilities:
? In collaboration with Strategic Marketing, Strategic Account Services, Account Management, and Sales, identify and analyze market, customer, partner, and product opportunities and threats; competitors and their products and services; key analysts and their predictions and recommendations; and target user problems, needs, expectations, and desires.
? Pro-actively elicit, collate, document, and prioritize requirements from numerous internal and external stakeholders - e.g. Sales, Strategic Account Services, Account Management, BI/Analytics Services, Business Development, Executive Team, Customer Support, Professional Services, Development, Operations, Customer Advisory Council, Customers, Partners, and Prospects.
? Derive, document, communicate, promote, and continuously refine a Product Vision and complementary Product Strategy synergistic with business goals, objectives, and expectations.
? Decompose, document, and verify prioritized, detailed product In collaboration with Development, create design, technical, and functional specifications descriptive of solutions aimed at addressing detailed product requirements and an adequate and timely fashion.
? Pro-actively elicit participation in and effectively manage usability studies and alpha and beta evaluation programs and validate appropriateness of proposed and developed solutions.
? In collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and the Executive Team, place, package, price, position, and promote products and related services both internally and externally.
? Support Marketing, Sales, Strategic Account Services, Account Management, BI/Analytics Services and Business Development in their respective prospect, customer, partner, and market-facing activities.
? Communicate and collaborate with fellow team members to ensure consistent, cohesive solutions and related placement, packaging, pricing, positioning and promotion statements arise.
The primary focus would surround the Benefits Manager suite of decision support applications and our evolving product vision particularly as it pertains to consumer-driven health plans. Inwardly, the person filling this role would complement and collaborate closely with the Product Marketing Manager, Benefits Manager and the Development team. Outwardly, the person filling this role would communicate and collaborate closely with the Product Marketing Manager, Sales, Account Management, and Business Development stakeholders, especially those focused on Payers ? e.g. Cigna, Wellpoint, BCBSs, etc. - and strategic distributor partners ? e.g. Fidelity, Aon, etc
