Product Manager, Business Intelligence

Our client, a leader in the Business Intelligence software and consulting industry, is currently seeking a Senior Product Management candidate to work in the NYC headquarters. The position will involve managing all technical aspects of product management and planning for their flagship Business Intelligence solution and reports to the Technical Director of Strategic Product Management.

Responsibilities for this position will include the following: Researching technology and enhancements in the area of Business Intelligence, reporting, and GUI design. Writing and reviewing feature specifications and product documentation. Processing and prioritizing product issues and new feature requests for resolution/implementation. Providing internal training and interfacing with programming, quality assurance, technical support groups, sales and marketing, and customers. Creating and presenting product status and product enhancement recommendations to senior management. Particular product emphasis will be placed on reporting application development tools, metadata management, and end-user ad-hoc tools and will require involvement in all product components and competitive feature development.

Experience required: Candidates must come from a Business Intelligence, software development, or user interface design background with strong experience managing people, performing competitive analysis, driving product development, and dealing with customers. Candidates also must have a strong understanding of GUI issues, Web technologies, and Java application technologies. Candidates must also have hands on technical experience working with a Business Intelligence product, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL-based databases.   Excellent planning, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are necessary.
