Product Manager, Mobile Applications and Services

As the Product Manager for Mobile Media Solutions (B2B), your responsibilities will be to manage the entire product portfolio of 9 Squared mobile applications currently being distributed by wireless carriers throughout the Americas. In addition, your responsibilities will include defining and prioritizing 9 Squared?s next generation of mobile products and services.

The Product Manager position is a strategic role requiring market vision and business acumen, but the role also requires a high production output focused on tactical deliverables. The right person will have 3-5+ years of product management experience, be analytical, have strong communication skills, proven experience in business modeling, be detail-oriented yet able to look at a wide array of choices and identify what truly matters to the business.

 

 

Responsibilities Include:

? Builds roadmaps for current and future products, collecting business and technical requirements throughout the product life cycle

? Prioritizing product roadmap, balancing near term revenue opportunities with the long term 9 Squared strategic mission

? Works with technology development and program management to define technical specifications, release planning and schedules, acceptance tests and benchmarking

? Conducts comprehensive market research and develops business cases for new product concepts, advancing concepts from definition through on-time launches

? Creates, manages and reports status of key metrics relating to each commercial product, including revenue and profit margins

? Produces product marketing strategies to maximize revenues for current product lines  

? Partners with content licensing team to enhance the product content catalog and target content acquisition opportunities

? Works closely with the Business Development team to introduce to new products and services to wireless carrier distribution channels

? Ensures accurate and effective product positioning

? Develops practical recommendations to solve customer and distribution channel concerns

 

 

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

? 3-5+ years of product management experience with large volume consumer software products and/or services

? Bachelors degree in a technology or business related discipline

? Must have experience on the full product life-cycle including definition, business case analysis, design, and implementation through customer shipment

? Strong presentation and writing skills

? Strong leadership and organizational skills

? Proven abilities in management of costs and schedules

? Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively.

? Able to maintain strong working relationships and interactions with engineers, customers, senior executives, partners, and marketing teams

? Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly visible position

? Ability to manage deadlines and succeed managing dynamic tasks in a fluid environment
