Project Specialist

Collette Vacations is the worldwide leader in the ever-changing travel industry. We employ over 400 people, including Tour Managers, in 3 offices around the world, including Canada and the UK. Our company headquarters is located in a historic mill building in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, located minutes from downtown Providence.

We are currently hiring a PROJECT SPECIALIST for our Rhode Island office.Conducting extensive research on potential vendors, including hotels, restaurants, gift shops, step-on guides, and optional excursions.  Researching and analyzing destination and competitive information. Contracting for certain vendors as assigned by the Product Buyer. Working on preliminary pricing and itineraries, rate charts, and other written collateral. Attending meetings and any training seminars conducted for the Product Management team will be required. Participation and attendance in the Product Management retreats, the sales meetings and trade shows as necessary. Assisting and completing special projects throughout the year as assigned by the Product Buyer which include, but are not limited to gift shops, lunch stops, option pricing and information sheets, meal templates, travel tips, competitive research and analysis, FAMs, proofing itineraries will be expected. This position reports to the Product Buyer.

Skills desired:

College Degree preferred

Minimum 1 - 3 years work experience post college graduation. 

Negotiation, travel industry, and research experience preferred. 

Must be comfortable traveling a projected 20 - 60 days a year.
