Quality Assurance Manager

Specific Responsibilities:

 

1.  Develop and maintain quality system measures and analysis.  This will include the responsibility to teach and apply quality methods to support continuous improvement.

2.  Lead the quality auditing function in support of internal and external auditing requirements.

3.  Working with departments throughout the organization, facilitate Quality Teams for system development.

4.  Act as quality system coordinator to plant level activities.  Such activities will include non-conforming material management, corrective action coordinator, inspection and test planning, document control management, and record retention coordinator.

5.  Responsible for the supervision and development of direct reports.  This includes coaching, counseling, and training employees to their fullest potential.

6.  Perform duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system.

7.  Perform other duties as assigned by the director in support of departmental goals.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

? Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills

? Must possess the ability to lead people in direct and indirect reporting situations. 

? Excellent project management skills are required.  This includes the ability to lead cross-functional projects.

? Knowledge of quality systems and its construction according to the American National Standard ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9001 is required.

? Skills in the use of and the ability to teach the use of Quality Improvement Tools are required.

? Must possess knowledge and skills in audit system management as well as advanced quality planning methods.

? Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, are required.

? Knowledge in statistical methods

? Skills in team oriented problem solving are necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position.

 

Education/Experience:

 

? B.S. degree in related field required

? 5 years experience in quality management; Certified Quality Manager a plus

? Six Sigma certification a plus
