It's a valuable source of information for industries such as Appraisal, Financial, Insurance, Mortgage and Lending, Real Estate, and Title Insurance.

 

As a member of the Data Management Team, the SQL Database Tester is responsible for ensuring quality and integrity of DataQuick?s data. This person will fully learn and understand the physical data structures and content, related metadata, and business logic.

 

Key Responsibilities:

This person shall use his/her data quality skills to:Interpret business rules and technical documentation to create and implement test plans, test scripts, and test cases to certify accuracy of data content in new database development and revisions to existing databases.Participate in project meetings and reviews of development documentation, release schedule, dependencies, and deliverables.Investigate, trouble-shoot, and document source-to-target and other data integrity issues reported by internal and external customers, both technical and non-technical.Create T-SQL queries to collect and analyze data.Create analytical results reports ? both written and graphical.Serve as a data expert on underlying business and data rules to negotiate possible resolutions that support and enforce data quality standards, validate data transformation logic, and to certify data resolutions.Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate for this position must have a commitment to high quality standards and providing exceptional products and services to internal and external customers. This individual should also have at least 1-2 years experience in the following requirements:Working knowledge of RDBMS, preferably MS SQL Server databases.Working knowledge of database tools, preferably MS SQL Server Query Analyzer and Enterprise Manager.Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), preferably T-SQL.Strong cognitive skills, including: analysis, problem solving, attention to detail, and decision making.Strong communication skills ? written, verbal, and graphical.Ability to not only work independently but also interact well as part of a team with members from different levels in the organization such as management, development, systems, and I & T.Flexibility to multi-task, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines.Ability to articulate findings and create analytical reports.Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Bachelor?s or Associate?s degree in a computer or data-related field, or equivalent work experience.

 

Skills a plus but not required:

?  Working knowledge of real estate and real property data, procedures and terminology, or a proven ability to learn new types of data quickly and effectively.
