We are searching for the right person to develop and coordinate a comprehensive Safety Testing Program to ensure compliance with state/federal safety regulations. In its final form, the program will include a testing documentation database subject to the oversight of the supervisor, a small in-house testing lab, and the ongoing of quality assurance standards. 

 

Given the scope of the position, broad knowledge of safety standards (CPSC, ASTM, FDA, BHFTI, ACMI, EN71, UL and ANSI) is required, as is the ability to communicate engineering and technical knowledge in clear layman?s terms. The compilation and analysis of monthly/quarterly QA reports detailing product concerns?and a reasonable approach to their successful resolution?is also a primary responsibility.

 

A talent for working collaboratively with an in-house product development team, merchandising team and other integral players is a must, as is maintaining cooperative working relations with outside testing labs and toxicologists.
