Primary Function Impacts the future success of division by initiating, coordinating and analyzing marketing research that yields actionable insight and recommendations for Category Management and Customer Marketing efforts.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities Analyze and synthesize learnings on a micro level utilizing multiple information sources from both syndicated and custom research, drawing conclusions that provide recommendations to business partner teams. Exhibits strong analytic abilities in breaking down issues and developing solutions. Seeks and leverages market research peers and leaders, business partners and external vendors to ensure strong analysis and sound recommendations. Translates results into clear, concise presentations and written reports, enabling business partners to quickly make solid, fact-based decisions. Coordinates market research projects in support of Category Management and Sales initiatives. Partners with assigned teams to identify research needs and develop and execute a supporting analytic strategy. Identify appropriate research solutions based on understanding of applicable research techniques, knowledge of brands involved and objectives. Logical, yet creative, thinking skills critical. Strong organization skills needed to manage multiple projects on timing, appropriateness of research methodology, and actionability of conclusions. Enhances the perception of consumer and market research through sharing of information across the function and business units and displaying the importance of research in decision-making within project teams. Resource of historical test results, panel/syndicated data (purchase and consumption), and syndicated surveys. Proactively shares thoughts and insights on specific projects. Displays a positive, solution-based approach to all research issues.


Education and Experience A Master's Degree in Marketing, Market Research or Business Administration, or closely related field with 1-2 years relevant working experience OR a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or Business Administration, or closely related field and 2+ years experience in package goods consumer research is required. MUST have solid experience with syndicated data (ACNeilsen or IRI). Excellent project and time management skills essential, as are verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and a firm background in market research are also desirable. Kellogg EOE M/F/D/V
