Senior Product Manager, Financial Services

Essential Job Functions:
Assists in achieving departmental goals and objectives by taking responsibility for a major product or product category, researching and identifying enhancements to functionality of current product line and new markets to ensure corporate strategies, business plans, revenue, and profit goals are attained
Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing programs for a specific product line which differentiate Company products from competitors
Taking a proactive role in all stages of the life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities).

 

Required Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field or equivalent related work experience. 
Five years experience in software product management and product marketing.
Financial Services background required; preferably corporate banking/cash management; payments experience ideal. 
Extensive experience in working with analysts, customers, and Sales to capture requirements feedback and product needs to help determine the profitable direction of a product.
Experience with delivery and support of corporate banking software and services is required.
Requires a broad knowledge of various aspects of application architectures, computing environments hardware, operating systems, databases, network communications, development methodologies and related technologies, such as client/server, data warehousing, electronic commerce, object technology, messaging, OLTP?s multimedia, industry standards and standards bodies, etc. 
In depth understanding of assigned product or demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new software products. 
Requires a thorough understanding of business processes and concepts and the ability to relate product capabilities to business issues.
Requires working knowledge of computer programs to accomplish work (Word, Excel). 
Good analytical, organizational, prioritization, financial planning, and project management skills. 
Requires excellent long and short-term strategic planning skills. 
Clear and concise verbal, written and interpersonal/customer communication skills.
Ability to lead in a team environment by persuading and proactively influencing strategic decision making and direction. 
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team of peers. 
Ability to translate technical information into easily understood information. 
Good presentation skills. 
Ability to work under limited supervision.
