Sr. Product Manager - BREW Client

Role QUALCOMM's BREW solution is a family of products and services dedicated to accelerating wireless data worldwide. It includes an array of modular products and services to enhance the wireless experience for end-users; expand the application marketplace for publishers and developers; enable faster time to market for handset manufacturers; and create new service offerings and revenue streams for operators.

The Product Manager for the BREW client software will be responsible for the following:

Develop and maintain the product roadmap for the BREW client, including the definition of features, release dates, and integration with chipset software.

Identify internal and market requirements for the BREW client, and document such requirements in Product Requirements Documents.

Work with the BREW Client engineering team to create and document project plans that implement the requirements and roadmap.

Develop and communicate product information and presentations relating to BREW client technology and roadmaps.

Interface with OEM and operator customers to communicate roadmaps, identify requirements, drive product adoption, and support product development activities.

Interface with internal product management and engineering teams to identify and manage dependencies between the BREW client and other products and technologies.

Interface with other teams and divisions with Qualcomm to ensure continued alignment with all business objectives related to BREW client technology.

Skills/Experience
Minimum of three to five years experience in software product management/marketing in the wireless communications industry.

Software development experience resulting in strong technical knowledge of programming concepts in general. Direct experience with and knowledge of BREW programming specifically is required.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required as well as the ability to work within a team environment and independently.

Frequent travel is required (US and international).

Must enjoy dealing in a customer-oriented environment.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science required. Master's degree in engineering or business preferred.
