McKesson is currently looking for a seasoned Sr. Product Manager to lead an exciting new initiative in the content management space.

The Enterprise Content Management - Sr. Product Manager will ensure that McKesson delivers a competitive solution to the market that optimizes use of McKesson resources and contributes in a predictable manner to the business results and strategic plan of the organization. The Product Manager will coordinate a cross-functional team (e.g. business leaders, sales, product marketing, services, support, development, internal support functions, external consultants, and external customers) for the assigned product strategy and definition, market and competitive analysis, business case development and approval, market and competitive position and performance, product messaging and positioning, pricing and packaging, sales education, transition to services and support, pilot and reference site management, general availability, product issue and customer escalation management, business plan P&L contribution and monitoring, and product lifecycle management. The Product Manager will lead a team of Product Managers and business analysts.

Experience in the definition and management of Enterprise Content Management and/or Document Management Technologies required. Usually requires 5 + years of IT Product Management experience. MBA preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience. The position will be located in Alpharetta, GA and will require 25 ? 50% travel.

? Proven success in bringing profitable products to market and effectively managing them through key stages of the lifecycle
? Experience with developing products within a staged or gated product lifecycle / management process
? Excellent verbal and written communications
? Strong Project Management experience
? Proven record of creating and maintaining business partnerships and relationships
? Strong decision making, judgment and analytical skills
? Ability to influence internal customers and business leaders
? Effectively establish and build partnerships with external customers
? Working knowledge of CMM and/or CMMi, SCP, PMI, ISO and Six Sigma
? Proficient in Microsoft office, including Word, Excel and PowerPointPosition Description

Responsible for the development for specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product lines(s).Minimum Requirements
