National natural foods distributor seeks Supermarket Service Representative to service our

Los Angeles and Santa Barbara area customers

 

Responsibilities:  Responsible for developing and building sales in assigned route and representing the company in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.

Salary Range: based upon experience, includes: Full time includes benefits package.

Expenses covered: Car allowance, cell phone allowance. 

Status: Full time

 

Duties: Writes the orders for assigned route, frequency determined by sales volume or growth potential or Sales Manager, to maximize distribution of the company?s products.Presents new items to the customer, and Assists/Leads resets as needed or as directed by Sales Manager or Service Supervisor. Responsible for attaining sales goals for growth as determined by Sales Manager.Inquires about the level of satisfaction about our service: monitors problems with product, delivery, or other service issues. Determines the customer?s level of need for retail services and arranges for the appropriate information to be supplied to the customer.  Acts as a liaison with the credit department in arranging terms, with the operations departments on routing changes and delivery issues, and with the information services department in setting up electronic file transfers.Responsible for all shelf tags, and promotional POS, cleaning or dusting of shelves and issuing credits, and turning in credits to corporate warehouse in a timely manner. Responsible for making sure accounts have no outdated product on shelf and complete rotation (Full service stores) when merchandising. Issues credits on a weekly basis (Full service stores). Responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned merchandiser(s) and assist in training. Handles will-calls when necessary.  Assists customer, Key Account Manager or Sales Manager with new store openings, major resets, or remodels Sells marketing programs (manufacture flyer program, monthly specials ext.) and assists with promotional displays as needed and other deals arranged by the Sales Manager.Promptly updates the Sales Manager of any significant trends in territory regarding competitor activity or customer product requests Assists with trade shows as directed by Sales Manager, Director of Sales.Keeps current on industry trends through publications, educational trainings, and industry movement reports, like ?SPINS? or ?Top Sellers? to better represent our products. Issues credits for accounts as needed, monitors invoicing issues adjustments issues and reports them to accounting/credit department. Sends invoice information needed to collect payment in a timely manner.Demonstrates willingness to help out in special circumstances including emergency deliveries, trouble shooting operational mishaps, covering for other Reps during times of illness or absence.Performs other tasks as requested by the Sales Manager.

 

Requirements:Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs on a repetitive basisDSD Route Sales or Grocery Experience Required.Full Time, 1 weekend day required (Split Days Off).
