UTILITY BILLING PRODUCT MANAGER

Our valued client is looking to add a Utility Billing Product Manager to their team.  The Billing Product Manager has the responsibility for the portion of the product that addresses Customer Self Service, Payment Processing, Electronic Funds Transfer, Lock Box Remittance Processing, Call Tracking, Letter Generation and Service Orders.  The Product Manager is a liaison between customers and the development team during the phases of the Utility product development and enhancement.  The Product Manager understands the functional and systems requirements of the products and is the functional expert.  Customer satisfaction is a key success factor of this position.

Responsibilities:

 

? Provide high level strategy with the customers and the development team on technical/functional design/development of new features in the Utility portion of the product suite.

? Determine requirements and then translate them into the technical product design.

? Work with customers to understand their needs.

? Work with developers to translate customer needs into technical design.

? Analyze and troubleshoot software issues at the application level.

? Maintain visibility on project deliverables.

? Ensure customer satisfaction throughout and including the product release process.

 

Requirements:

 BS or equivalent (preferably in an IT related field)3 ? 5 years of hands-on knowledge of utility billing applications.Experience in developing, creating, and implementing product strategy.Experience in gathering customers? requirements and translating them into technical requirements.Experience working with customer needs analysis.Experience working with business process analysis.Proven track record solving problems and managing risk.Experience working with MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills through out various levels ranging from Executive to programmer.Ability to travel to customer sites.Utility knowledge, specifically around Billing.
