Web Product Coordinator

SUMMARY:  The Web Product Coordinator will support the Web Marketing team in a variety projects, including weekly email campaigns and other product-related enhancements to our sites.  In addition to the Web Marketing Team, the successful candidate will work with the Web Product Manager as well as members of IT, Merchandising and Purchasing.  This position is focused on product maintenance in an e-commerce environment. This role will assist with the maintenance and consistency of descriptions, copy, images and categorization as well as special offers and promotions on various web sites.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

 

? Maintain consistency between web and print catalogs; make corrections, updates and image requests as necessary

? Help to define and maintain standards for product display on the web

? Propose and create relevant product categories for emails and other promotions

? Regularly update featured product groupings and representative category images

? Assist with Seasonal tasks related to new catalogs; new item entry, new clearance items, existing item updates, etc?

?  Contribute to the overall usability of our sites; Partake in larger multi-departmental efforts or projects

?  Completes other duties as assigned by manager



REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

? Ability to quickly grasp and apply a variety of computer applications (databases, asset management tools, etc.)

? Experience working with e-commerce sites

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

? Ability to problem-solve and work independently

? Ability to understand procedures and systems, and how they work together

? Strong writing and communication skills

? Team attitude

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor?s degree (B.A/S.) in Marketing or similar, plus at least 1-2 years experience in merchandising products in an e-commerce environment, web marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret numerical data. Ability to communicate effectively with manager on opportunities and liabilities discovered during the course of performing daily tasks. The ability to respond effectively with information relevant to questions asked of direct supervisor and any one else in the department.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with generally accepted analytical procedures. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
