2 open Grant Compliance Specialist positions

Grants Compliance Specialist's primary responsibility is to monitor the implementation of grants awarded to Jackson Memorial Foundation (JMF) or Jackson Health System (JHS) by being the liaison between the funder and the Program Managers ensuring requirements are met.

 

Essential duties and responsiblities include, but are not limited to:

 Assist the Grants & Research Manager in day-to day management of contracts and grants awarded to JMF or JHS.Follow mechanisms to ensure compliance of awarded grants and contracts starting with the notice of award and continuing until the final report has been completed with program managers.Maintain a Grants Management Calendar Matrix, reflecting start and end dates, and data elements required to facilitate the accurate management and reporting of funded projects.Identifies and records all reporting and other requirements related to the implementation of each project funded.Ensure that implementing departments complies with all approved Grants Management procedures in a timely manner.Communicate effectively with implementing department and funding agencies on progress of funded project.Identify and resolve challenges to implementation of funded project e.g. provide technical assistance and support with purchase requests, position requests (PAMs), and invoicing to grantors.Ensure that all fiscal, programmatic and related repors are completed in accordance to funding agency's requirements, including use of appropriate format, forms, and adhering to deadlines.Review reports prepared by implementing department, budget office or others ensuring that the format, required information, attachments, copies, and deadlines for submission are in full compliance.Maintain accurate files that follow precedures governing confidentiality.Prepares revisions to program or financial reports as required by funding agencies after grant is received by Grants Management office.Performs other related dueties as assigned.

 

Qualification requirements:Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant monitoring, preferably with a medical foundation and/or a non-profit organization.Knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Blackbaud, Powerpoint).Ability to plan and prioritize work to complete requirements in a timely mannerEffective verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.Ability to review and analyze complex documents for compliancewith applicable requirements.Ability to evaluate data relating to grants' management activities.Ability to organize data logically for presentation in various formats.Skilled in problem solving techniques.Familiarity with grant program budget preparation and monitoring.Knowledge of all stages of grant monitoring.Self Starter with a positive, proactive attitude.
