Administrator, Oil Spill Response

This position will provide oil spill planning support and maintain a corporate repository of oil spill response plans. This will also include research of state/federal regulations and the maintaining of a database to track training and drill requirements.

 

Other key responsibilities to include:

 

1)Creates and maintains centralized electronic repository of site-specific oil spill response plans

 

2) Assists Contingency Planning staff with researching state/federal regulations related to oil spills.  With guidance, interprets regulation

 

3) Supports oil spill exercise planning.  Assists with scheduling and development of exercise scenarios. Participates in drills and post-exercise critique

 

4) Develops, maintains and distributes contingency planning master calendar used to track requirements dictated by state/federal regulations such as training program, plan filings, etc.

 

5)Creates and maintains database to track company-wide training and drill requirements

 

6) Provides facilities with oil spill response related training and drill materials

 

7) As needed, assists with preparation and submission of regulatory reports

 

8) Maintains and distributes current contact information for members of oil spill response ?Away Team?.

Bachelor?s degree in environmental or marine studies or related discipline.

 

1) Requires extensive travel and extended stays to all Tesoro refineries and discharge locations.

 

2) Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

 

3) Proficient in Micro Soft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.

 

4) Familiar with federal/state oil spill regulations such as Environmental Protection Agency?s Oil Pollution Act.

 

5) Highly organized 

 

6) Minimum of 2 years practical environmental experience in upstream or downstream oil & gas operations preferred.
