Basel II QAS MIS and project support specialist

The Basel II Quality Assurance Services (QAS) department is a corporate quality organization responsible for the testing and overall quality of the Basel II system, end to end, thru all of CitiGroup's businesses. That includes over 500 products from their respective source systems around the world thru a processing and reporting system that provides reporting to regulatory agencies in each country.

 

To accomplish its mission, the QAS department is launching numerous quality initiatives that address the multitudes of documents, datastreams, and software components related to the Basel II system.  The MIS and Project Support Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing a number of Microsoft Access databases to support these initiatives.  The incumbent will be responsible for importing and  maintaining data from a variety of sources.The MIS and Project Support Specialist will be responsible for developing a significant number of routine and ad hoc reports that reflect project status, test results, defect resolution performance, and other information related to the various QAS initiatives.  In some cases this may require the development of macros or Visual Basic routines to process the data.  The MIS and Project Support Specialist will be the primary source of information to QAS team members as well as management, providing essential information to ensure that all goals of the department are met.  The MIS and Project Support Specialist will participate in status meetings, executive summaries, project reviews and any other reporting situations. The MIS and Project Support Specialist will play a key role in Citigroup's defect management process by facilitating meetings to track and ensure the resolution of defects discovered in the Basel II system are not missed, neglected or incomplete. 

 

Activities:



Microsoft Access Database development

Acquisition, analysis, remediation, and installation of raw data

Report development in Access and Excel

Report interpretation and presentation to management team

Meeting facilitation

Apply knowledge of quality assurance and test

Apply knowledge of business areas

Use of Mercury QualityCenter for defect reporting and tracking 



Required Skills:

- Intermediate to expert level in MS Access.  Able to write macros to automate reports and process data.

- Experience in report development in Access and Excel.  Able to develop queries as needed to support complex reports.

- Strong communication skills

- Project management or support experience necessary.  Understands project plans, managing deliverables, meeting deadlines, ensuring task completion.

- Able to organize and  lead meetings and conference calls.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with Mercury Quality Center
