Description

The Business Analyst improves the operational effectiveness of the organization through problem resolution, enhancing efficiency of process and achievement of superior customer satisfaction levels.  This includes supporting project management, analysis of business processes, identification and documentation of best practices, training strategy and integration of technology.  Responsibilities include the following:Establish and maintain close relationship with management staff in order to understand issues and impact; Coordinate efforts with field staff and IT to identify impediments or issues in processes; Represent all departments in program, process or system development; Analyze problems in terms of management information and sound business practices; conceptualize and define problems; Develop workflow resolution, resource solutions and system solutions that reflect a thorough understanding of benefit, effectiveness, and profit in relation to risk and cost; Participate in efforts to resolve business issues and develop new programs / systems; Support training initiatives, new hire training, and new system implementation; Develop and maintain documentation for processing activities; Establish and maintain communication tools for users; Communicate problem analysis and resolution to Management Team.

 

 

Requirements

Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university is strongly preferred. Must have a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Insurance industry experience is desired, as is strong working knowledge of e-commerce and workflow processes.  Must be computer literate, especially within a Windows environment.
