The Business Development Project Manager is responsible for researching, identifying, planning, designing, developing, and transitioning domestic and international new business opportunities to operations. Improving profitability and efficiency of existing businesses by coordinating with cross functions and aligning with the corporate strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Developing new business strategies, performing business analysis & feasibility studies, designing processes by performing cross functional project management & matrix management
- Planning/ organizing work, assessing/ mitigating risk, estimating/ acquiring resources, assigning/ directing tasks, controlling/ reporting/ analyzing the results of each project by working with multiple functions including finance, merchandising, marketing, buying, HR, IS&T, and sourcing.
- Working with senior project sponsors for developing strategic plans while aligning with the corporate strategy and functional goals and preparing presentations for senior management
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years retail and/or wholesale business experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Cross functional project management and matrix management experience.
- Proven analytical & financial abilities, strong business acumen, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- High-level strategic thinker with persuasive presentation skills and excellent communication skills.
- Must be personable, high energy and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable with making new contacts, and the ability to thrive and manage in an entrepreneurial and unstructured environment.
- A team player with strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, culturally sensitive.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or MA
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification, Six Sigma Experience
- International Business and traveling experience, bi-lingual
- Financial modeling, MS Project, Access
