Business Manager

Position: Business Manager for Professional Development Dept.
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Pay: $55,000-60,000/year DOE
Duration of assign: temp to hire
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Fun, non-profit company that promotes the making of music everywhere including education programs, is looking for a Business Manager for their Professional Development Department.

 

They should possess these skills/qualities:

?  Very strong logistics/project planning skills (strong meeting planning skills would work)

?  Ability to prepare and manage event budgets/resources

?  Strong contract negotiating or evaluating skills

?  Short term/long term projections experience

?  Record maintenance

?  Research/trend recognition/current business trend knowledge

?  Ability to represent the association at various community and/or business
meetings.

?  Knowledge of management principles and practices

?  Excellent technical skills

?  Strong interpersonal and communication skills

?  Knowledge of marketing strategies and processes

?  Overall well-rounded in all aspects of Administration, Planning, & Negotiating

?  The ideal candidate must be able to present well as they will be presenting at community events, colleges, meeting with high level executives, etc.

?  Must also be able to project budgets, handle contract negotiations, have knowledge of business practices and strong planning skills for planning events.
