Business/Requirements Analyst—Geospatial Enterprise

LGGI is building a suite of next generation geospatial enterprise products that is aimed at improving the delivery, dissemination and serving of geospatial content to a variety of customers in the Federal Government, Defense and Local Government markets. This includes imagery, terrain, feature data and other spatial and non-spatial content.

As a Business/Requirements Analyst, you will gather user requirements and perform system and application design based on the analysis of those requirements. You will design and develop user/system interactions and workflows, and prioritize and delegate development and testing tasks based on the requirement priorities. You will ensure that the resulting system and user experience meets the user requirements, and is consistent with the overall vision of the product. 

You will need to work with market managers and key customers to understand business needs and market requirements; assist with packaging product requirements into a release; collaborate with software architects and engineers to develop release plans; and assist with managing changes to product scope.

You will work in a team environment with engineering staff as the voice of the customer (VoC), and help ensure that the final product meets the design and workflow detailed for the requirement.

Responsibilities:

-Analyze and understand business needs and market.

-Assist in defining the vision of the product, and the scope/boundaries of the system.

-Develop detailed use cases and user stories, including the narrative and process flow.

-Design the user experience and workflows for the product.

-Develop acceptance test criteria for user stories and features.

-Support product development in the design, development, testing and documentation of the product to ensure that it meets customer needs and expectations.

Requirements:

-BS/BA degree

-Minimum of 5-8 years related experience.

-Minimum of 3 years experience in enterprise GIS, mapping and/or geospatial industry.

-Experience in writing product requirements, use cases and user stories.

-Strong verbal and written communication skills.

-Experience with graphical user interface (GUI) design.

-Working knowledge of enterprise application technologies.
