Contracts Negotiator

Job Description: Responsible for the preparation, negotiation and administration of proposals, business agreements, and contracts of moderate scope and complexity. Performs risk assessment of proposals and contracts terms and conditions and develops strategies to minimize their potential risks to the business. Generates and maintains contract documentation and obtains management approval as required. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. Establishes internal and external contacts and contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Represents the company as prime contact with Commercial, U.S. Government, and foreign companies. Lead negotiator and administrator of awarded contracts and works with program teams to ensure successful contract execution.

Required Skills: Ability to excel in a teaming environment, have experience conducting negotiations, minimum of 4 years of experience in Contracts or experience in an associated discipline. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Desired Skills: Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and other industry regulations. Understanding of ITAR and export licensing and procedures desirable.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions; strong analytical skills; good computer skills; ability to lead and establish strong internal and external customer relationships; well organized and detail oriented; and completes assigned tasks accurately and on time with minimal supervision.

Required Education(including Major): Bachelor?s degree in business or related field.
