The Custom Research Manager works within the Custom Research Group in NPD's Food and Beverage Business Unit to support the Custom Research senior staff in executing Internet surveys for existing clients. This position coordinates all phases of custom Internet survey projects, from beginning to end, to meet deadlines while working in coordination with internal support departments. This Manager is a hands-on coordinator of 30-40 custom Internet surveys per year.

Overall Responsibilities: Working closely with NPD's Online Operations Department, Food and Beverage Client Development staff and clients to coordinate custom Internet survey projects from scheduling to execution. Writing authorization letters/proposals to obtain client consent on projects. Writing Internet survey questions for measuring restaurant visit, visit intentions, preference, recall, awareness, satisfaction, etc. Using modern Internet survey tools such as questionnaire design tools, online data reporting tools, and online project management tools throughout the study process. Accurately interpreting and applying survey data. Interacting with clients via phone and email to clearly communicate study information and respond to client needs and questions. Writing executive summaries of proprietary study results. Writing requests for basic tabulations, such as banners/stubs, table layout, etc.

Qualifications: Must have 2-5 years of project management experience, preferably in market research. Proficient in all phases of custom Internet coordination, including survey design tools, sampling methods, project management tools and spec's for tabulations. Prior experience is very important. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to write quickly, succinctly, and effectively. Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to work independently and as a team; able to interact with all levels internally and with clients. Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail. Advanced in all MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). BA/BS degree or equivalent.
