DATA ANALYST
Under the direction of the Data Manager, the Data Analyst is responsible for supporting/assisting the Data Manager in the administration, operation, maintenance and reporting functions of the company?s information systems. A key role within the Data Systems Department, the Data Analyst will also act as a key contact between the department and other company units, providing support and data request response, staff training and customer service.
In the following capacity, the Data Analyst is responsible for:
? Day-to-day information systems administration and support of databases and information systems
? Report generation, both standardized and on-the-fly, for management and staff on request
? Acting as the primary IS helpdesk support source to our units.
? Triaging departmental data requests based on priority and level.
? Conducting information systems training groups and preparing information systems training materials and documentation
? Various other tasks supporting information systems, the department, and users as needed
In addition to this, the Data Analyst will support and/or assist with the Data Manager in:
? Implementing information systems development
? Designing/implementing reports to meet agency needs
? Establishing standardized monthly and quarterly reporting procedures based on agency needs.
? Implementing database, user manual, and reporting documentation projects
? Developing and implementing standardized procedures and protocols covering information systems usage and development
? Implementation of information systems user training projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.
? 2 years? proven experience with database administration and support.
? 2 years? Proven experience with queries and data manipulation for reporting purposes through the use of MS Access, Crystal Reports and similar tools.
? Proven experience with software documentation/technical writing.
? Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to anticipate problems and use judgment appropriately to plan solutions.
? Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communications skills
? Ability to work effectively with a wide range of staff with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
