Director, Sales Force Incentives

Requisition Number: 16221BR



This position is directly responsible for the $100+ million field force incentive. An effective incentive plan provides field motivation and focus and, therefore, is a critical element in impacting divisional sales performance. Approximately 90%, of GPB US-sales are promoted/incentivized products.

Design:
Position manages all aspects of sales incentive plan design and development, including creation of impactful field communication and training
Requires strong understanding of market conditions, product knowledge, and financial expectations for all promoted products to design incentive plans that effectively motivate and focus the sales force in order to capitalize on marketplace opportunities and confront competitive threats. Ongoing analysis/assessment of product performance and incentive liability to ensure plans are financially stable.
Directly responsible for 4 Business Managers, each providing direct support to executive marketing and sales management for the Schering Primary Care, Hospital, Virology, Oncology/Biotech, CCG, and USMM business units.
Ensure coordination and integration of various plans across business units to maximize the effectiveness of the field force resources

Processing:
Position manages successful execution of processing territory-level incentive calculations, on a monthly basis, spanning in excess of 15 field forces and 4,000 sales representatives & implementation of all incentive programs
Oversees development and implementation of systems, procedures and audits, and quality assurance initiatives to ensure efficiency, accuracy and accountability for all incentive expenditures
Directly responsible for 1 processing manager with a staff of 4 analysts, each performing critical functions in the processing cycle all business units, as well as providing direct customer service support to field personnel.

Qualifications
This position requires 10+ years of relevant experience in finance, marketing, or sales with strategic experience in a high-level management capacity.

Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred
Required Skills:
Supervisory experience

Excellent written/oral communication skills
Proficient in analytics - both financial and strategic/operational
