Hollywood Theaters is the eighth largest movie theater company in the US with over 500 screens and is the industry leader in the construction and operation of modern state-of-the-art Stadium Megaplex Theaters in mid sized markets. Hollywood Theaters is seeking a Director of Facilities Maintenance and Technical Services for its corporate office located in Portland, Oregon.  The Director of Facilities Maintenance and Technical Services is responsible for the corporate level management of facility maintenance and repairs, and quality movie presentation for all locations in the theater circuit.  The position includes project management for remodel projects, managing the complete FF&E fulfillment for remodel and new-build projects, assisting in design for remodels and new-builds, and managing theater asset physical inventories.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

?  Support and guidance for booth and facilities equipment repair by field personnel and/or sourcing materials and contractors for repairs.

?  Negotiate and manage maintenance contracts and services with outside contractors, including projection booth, HVAC, auditorium screens, seats, life safety systems, and telephone.

?  Supervise at least one field Technical Engineer.

?  Prepare and maintain capital expense budgets, manage cap-ex projects.

?  Responsible for all other FF&E installations by outside contractors, including speakers, screens, screen framing, masking and rigging, drapes and soundfold, aisle lighting, hearing impaired systems, exterior and interior signage, telephone and showtime recorders, and alarm systems.

?  Purchasing duties include shopping vendors for the best products and services at best prices, writing purchase orders, resolving issues with vendors and approving invoices.

?  Perform site visits of facilities to ensure presentation and maintenance meets levels of company?s high standards.

?  Review design and specifications of projection booths and equipment, and responsible for installations.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

?  Background in facility maintenance and repair

?  Previous construction and design experience

?  Technical knowledge of theater projection booth equipment

?  Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

?  Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word
