JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for the planning, implementation and management of large projects that are typically greater than six months in duration and having total costs in excess of $1,000,000.? Responsible for developing and implementing project management processes and procedures across all Distributed Services departments.? Works closely with Project Management Office (PMO) manager toward establishing project oriented culture and project group policies.? Develops and implements "customer service" oriented project strategies.? Assists PMO manager with reporting on all project activity.? Maintains and supports project management tracking and database tools.? Provides high level support to PMO staff members and to Distributed Services employees in the daily use of these tools.

REGULAR DUTIES:
? Responsible for planning and implementation of project activities across the Distributed Services division.
? Responsible for developing and implementing a successful project management environment and project oriented culture.
? Responsible for developing and implementing project management processes, policies and procedures.? Enforces all defined policies and procedures.
? Monitors and maintains timesheet entries, Project Overview Database (POD), project plans, and project timelines for all assigned projects.?
? Works with functional group managers and technical resources to develop timelines by identifying individual tasks, resources, and costs necessary to complete all projects.? Monitors project timelines for appropriate dates, resource allocation and costs.? Reports time and resource conflicts and areas of concern. Works with Project Office Manager to resolve reported issues.
? Works with functional and Senior level managers to resolve issues dealing with project slippage by re-baselining projects in accordance with Distributed Services? baseline policy.
? Works with functional group managers to re-plan projected timelines based on reported hours spent on each project and estimated effort and duration to completion.
? Provides weekly feedback in the POD for functional group managers and Project Office Manager outlining project progress, project status, and progress against project plan.
? Identifies reporting needs and develops standard reports to address those needs.
? Maintains and supports project management software for project performance tracking.
? Maintains and supports project management data gathering tools for data warehousing and portfolio management.

Required Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelors degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? 5-7 years experience as a business/computer analyst or consultant
? 5-7 years Project Management or Project Coordination experience
? Significant progress made toward Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute
? 6-10 years experience in management of LAN, WAN, database, application development, and/or Web environments
? Banking experience preferred but not required.? Especially in the data processing mainframe and microcomputer areas.

REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

? Ability to interact with all levels of users within Hibernia on a daily basis.? Also, interact with department managers, division managers, and hardware/software vendors.
? Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.? Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.? Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
? Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
? Capability to schedule and coordinate multiple activities in results oriented environment.
? Strong organization skills, ability to independently work on several complex projects at one time.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
