 Flooring Project Manager/Estimator

 Reports to General Manager

 

 Major Responsibilities:Responsible for the efficient coordination of activities of assigned projects from design through installation.Perform Material takeoffs estimating the product needed for a specific project.Advise in the pricing on jobs from an operations stand point.Provide in-house support for sales staff and end users with product knowledge and competency pertaining to all aspects of flooringProvide audit of specifications and drawings prior to order entry for accuracy and completeness.  (Simply review drawings and plans to make sure product and installation are doable.)Gather the information to create an up-to-date job file.Coordinate schedule with subcontractors, customer and or general contractor.Attend pre-installations meetings with customer and or general contractor.Visit the field projects on a periodic basis.Properly follow-up on out-of-line situations related to assigned projects.  (Out-of-line situations are those situations when things don?t go as planned.  Be able to ?think on your feet? and solve problems.)Insure that the project is completed within budget and that all additional charges are billed.Monitor customer satisfaction.
