Fun and Exciting Associate Producer/Project Manager

Kelly Services is seeking a world-class Associate Producer/Project Manager to join one of our client?s award-winning team. This Associate Producer will coordinate the development and day-to-day priorities of multiple products, working closely with their marketing, sales, editorial, and operations teams and creative partners to shepherd products through the entire development cycle. The Associate Producer is charged with delivering against the product objectives through a rigorous refinement of play pattern, product features, and functionality, striving for continuous improvement based on competitive-set insights and customer feedback.

 

The Associate Producer will also coordinate and support a cross-functional product team and communicate critical product development information to the company and to our expansive network of cross-discipline partners in the most effective and efficient manner. The Associate Producer ensures that the products deliver on the high quality promise of our customer

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Coordinate and facilitate playtesting to evaluate usability, functionality, and play-pattern issues

- Deliver innovative and breakthrough play experiences for kids

- Coordinate and support a cross-functional product team to deliver products on brand, on time, and on budget

- Communicate critical product development information to the company and to our expansive network of world-class development partners in the most effective and efficient manner

- Evaluate production priorities and maintain quality standards

- Support product team to maintain milestone progression

- Maintain project schedules and budgets from initial concept through product completion

- Coordinate between internal team and third-party vendors to meet project deadlines

- Create simple prototypes and schematics to analyze functional performance design

-  Coordinate with prototype makers, engineers, and industrial designers to solve complex product functionality issues

 

Requirements: 

 

-  2+ years of project/product management in kids consumer-products industry

-  Experience developing product specifications

-  Excellent project-management skills

-  Proven success coordinating diverse teams to deliver exceptional products under tight deadlines

-  Excellent oral and written communication skills

-  Experience working with diverse teams to deliver exceptional products under tight deadlines

-  Experience coordinating the development of high-profile, high-quality products

-  Creative problem solving skills for both product and process challenges

-  Willingness to explore, learn, and employ new technologies as related to innovative toys

-  Intense attention to detail

-  Agility to deal with big-picture implications of details

-  Child-development expertise preferred

-  MS Project experience a plus

-  Ability to conceptualize mechanical and electronics solutions for product functionality demands a plus

-  Ability to mock up basic functional prototypes for proof of concept a plus

-  Aptitude with mechanical engineering a plus

-  BSME/product development degree preferred
