Manage a portfolio of products and services to achieve SunGard Higher Educations financial objectives by implementing processes that optimize portfolio growth in the long- and short-term. Develop plans for growth of the assigned portfolio, ensuring that assets are achieving optimal performance through balanced resource allocation and investment. The key performance indicator for this role is growth per annum. Develop plans to grow the portfolio to meet objectives. Initiate and facilitate the dialogue at senior levels regarding the long-term strategic planning process, as well as specific conversations about the strategic value of individual projects. This may include preparation of presentation materials, participation in high-level meetings and on internal committees. Develop business plans and review the business plans of third parties that have the potential to grow the portfolio. Develop presentations and provide recommendations as to financial opportunity and strategic fit with SunGard Higher Educations objectives. Requires an understanding of the higher education industry, emerging technology and business models, and an understanding of SunGard Higher Educations corporate and divisional strategic objectives. Work with internal and external legal counsel, internal and corporate finance, and corporate M&A staff in structuring transactions including corporate investments, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and financing. Contribute to the annual operating plan and budget, and reviews annual/quarterly forecast updates. Provide planning assumptions for annual budget preparation and long term capital projections as well as data for other reporting requirements.
