HR Systems Project Manager (SDLC/Peoplesoft)

Join Sprint-Nextel's Finance Information Services team that supports the HR and Payroll systems groups. Analyze systems and project-manage major upgrade, implementation, and integration projects supporting the business. Serve as liaison with business sponsors and customers to strategize and identify logical business needs. Lead process improvement discussions with business customers to identify where technology and system processes can enable process improvement and standardization. Work with IT Domain experts to consolidate impacts and schedules; prepare and manage project plan. Track development activities; coordinate regular meetings and communications with impacted groups. Communicate project status to project team, IT teams, business sponsors, and core senior management. Identify and track challenges/issues and mitigate risks. Position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's is preferred); 5+ years project management experience; the ability to manage medium-large projects; knowledge of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and PeopleSoft HR; project management experience within the systems domain (preferably PMP certified); and familiarity with Telco/Wireless industry and projects.
