IT & Operations: Global Project Management

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the IT & Operations leadership team, and that will shape the remit, strategy and objectives of many of the 'change-the-bank' activities across the business group.

We are looking for a senior leader and project manager with primary focus on Business Processes. The broad focus includes the investment value chain from research, portfolio construction and trading process through to security operations, portfolio accounting as well as client reporting. Responsibilities will reach both, into the IT and the Operations organization, thereby working with line-management to achieve best-in-class project results. This is a global role and spans business group-wide through multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

- Work with Operations and IT line-management to deliver best-practice project management .
- Promote globally consistent processes; help achieve straight-through-processing (STP) wherever possible and economical.
- Support Logistics Management in addressing operational risk situations with appropriate mitigating action items or projects.
- Champion best -practice project management governance and ongoing monitoring/reporting for substantially all IT & Ops projects.
- Facilitate communication and resolution of cross-project dependencies.
- Ensure project status and expectation transparency to business functions via regular updates.
- Participate in, or lead, respective projects to mitigate existing operational risks.
- Advise on the organization's transaction processing capabilities with regards to any new business/new product initiatives, as part of the New Business Approval process.
- Help promote and instill a culture of operational risk excellence across the organization.
- Develop an understanding of bank-wide process improvement initiatives, build peer relationships and identify synergies.

Basic Qualifications
Qualifications:

- Extensive (multi-year) experience in asset management/financial services business with good understanding of the full trade cycle / value chain.
- Very specific experience in a broad Operations and/or IT-function.
- Product knowledge includes broad array of otc-derivatives.
- Strong "Management of Change" leadership skill set and successful project management experience.
- Ability to impact/influence decisions and individuals, even when no formal authority.
- Sound communication abilities to facilitate communication between multiple parties. Good relationship-builder.
- Proven structured approach to managing and resolving complex issues. Track record of successful project execution.
- Advanced degree-level education preferred.
