We are currently searching for a Project Manager to join our Corporate IT Staff in Neenah, WI.
The IT Project Manager's primary purpose is to maximize the results returned from larger projects under- taken by the computing staff. This position focuses on gathering the correct resources to accomplish the project by the targeted deadline while resolving conflicts and balancing available skill sets between projects that may be competing for like and limited resources. Principle accountabilities include:
Principal Accountabilites:
Deploy ERP (JDEdwards) business process and standard applications to Plexus sites on a global level. Work with individual site management to plan and execute the transition/conversion from the existing MRP platform and business processes to ensure that all systems and users are properly trained and equipped to utilize the global ERP system. Develop project proposals that cover the origin of project, cost estimates, staffing requirements, implementation timeliness, identification of risks, contingency plans and other projects impacted. Document technical scope and objectives of projects. Coordinate all currently active projects by identifying and scheduling project deliverables; monitor the progress, critical paths, milestones, and available resources. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Ensure management is aware of the implications of starting a new project and how it impacts the timeliness of all other activities currently in progress. Ensure that the quantity of active projects does not exceed staff capacity. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Develop and maintain technical and project documentation. Coordinate with the other IT Project Managers to ensure that backup resources are effectively utilized in a cross department manner. Document quality assurance test plans and direct quality assurance testing. Conduct reviews at the end of major projects with the project staff. These reviews will cover the successes and failures of the project and how to apply the lessons learned to future projects.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated project management experience or course work is required. Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience is preferred. Will possess the skills as a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices. Must be able to work on problems of a diverse scope where analysis of situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Must demonstrate the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time to support various Plexus locations. 5+ years of JDEdwards experience PMP Certified preferred, but not required.
