Network Development Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Network Development Specialist supports the Director of Provider Network Development in fulfilling the department?s responsibilities, including research, identification, negotiation, and management of provider network/vendor contracts.  Primary responsibilities include research and data maintenance and analysis. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Research and report on changes in the network marketplace. Identify potential network domestic and international Healthcare providers. Respond to non-operational (i.e. contractual) inquires from providers. Serve as a resource to the Operational units for questions regarding accessing the Healthcare networks. Carry out international provider contracting initiatives, including verification of provider credentials as well as provider education. Maintain provider data in the Provider Databases Run reports on network performance, claim volume, etc. Assist with additional provider network-related research as needed. Facilitate issue resolution between internal and external parties  pertaining to provider-related inquiries
 

WORKING CONDITIONS: Generally works business hours Office environment Infrequent travel may be required


JOB SPECIFICATIONS (KSA?S): Proficient with Microsoft Excel Analytical and problem solving skills Research skills Strong organizational skills Self-directed Foreign Language skills a plus
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College degree preferred. Experience with advanced query. Project management experience preferred.
